Rita Carvalho-TetznerI was born in Aracaju/Se, I have studied English and Portuguese at the UFS – Universidade Federal de Sergipe and worked as a teacher between 1989 and 1997 at private and public schools in Aracaju. In 1999 I passed the DSH – Exam (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber) and started to teach Portuguese at the ICBRA – Brazilian Cultural Institute. Since October 1999 I have been teaching Brazilian Portuguese at the Technical University of Berlin. Since February 2002 I have been working as a Portuguese teacher at the Foreign Office (Training Diplomats going to work in Brazil, Portugal, Africa) and since 2009 I have been teaching Brazilian Portuguese at the Free University of Berlin.

 

Claudia Meirelles Hartmann

Claudia Meirelles HartmannI am Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro. I have studied Portuguese and English at the UFF - Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niterói, RJ. I have taught Portuguese and English as a foreign language for 10 years at the Sociedade Brasileira de Cultura Inglesa and at Berlitz Institute in Rio de Janeiro. Since 1990 I have been teaching Portuguese to groups and individual pupils in Germany, from 1999 until 2006 at ICBRA (Brazilian Culture Institute), for 1 year at the Brazilian Bookshop aLivraria and since the beginning of 2008 by the Deutsch-Brasilianische Gesellschaft. For 5 years I have been organizing and teaching groups of employees from the Ibero-America Institute. Since January 2013 I have been working as a Portuguese teacher at the Foreign Office (Training Diplomats going to work in Brazil, Portugal, Africa).
